University of Texas at El Paso’s Student Health and Wellness Center kicked off November with an Eliminate Tobacco Use Resource Fair! The event hosted on November 1st was organized by interns in the Public Health Program at UTEP which aligns with the program’s responsibility, competencies, and sub-competencies.

To kick off the start of the school year on Monday, August 22, the Peers Against Tobacco (PAT) student team at The University of Texas at Tyler participated in an on-campus event where they provided outreach materials, prevention and education resources to 75 students.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Center partnered with Truth Initiative to offer free communication materials for Texas institutions of higher education to help students quit vaping. This is Quitting materials feature the VAPEFREETX texting line where campus community members aged 13-24 can get free text-based support. Outside Texas, youth can receive support by texting DITCHVAPE.
