The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center applauded new actions announced on December 18th by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to limit the sale of most flavored electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) to age-restricted locations and require age verification for online sales to lower the use of these products in children. Following the announcement, the 20th Surgeon General of the United States, Vice Admiral Jerome Adams, MD, MPH, joined staff, faculty and invited guests at MD Anderson on December 19th, 2018 to share further remarks on why cancer prevention and education will be key components in creating a culture of health as we move forward. For more information, see the U.S. Surgeon General's report on e-cigarettes.
